Llama Farma relies on a fantastic team of volunteers to support our Tourism, Conservation & Education objectives.

Volunteer roles vary immensely, but almost all involve talking to our visitors.

The role of Llama Farma Volunteers is to assist with the care, welfare and training of our Llama.
Involvement with events and activities may be available for interested volunteers with suitable skills.

So you must be interested working with Llama and people with disabilities.

You do not need experience working with animals, however, this would be an advantage.

No previous experience with Llama is necessary.

An induction training day and on-the-job training provided.

Volunteers will be supported in all roles; including online access to learning resources and Llama Farma volunteer community.
Duties may include, brushing llama, cleaning paddocks, filling water troughs, feeding Llama and cleaning equipment.
For those with previous animal experience there may be opportunities to help train Llama, and handle young ones.
We are more than happy to have supported volunteers with injuries and disabilities that may only be able to help with some tasks, or need adaptations to help them participate.
All volunteers must be:
  • Must be willing to acquire Working With Vulnerable People card (WWVP).
  • Minimum age 16 years old
Please note: we are not Centrelink approved.
